MaMate London is building an app that helps single mums find each other to share a home, swap help with kids, or both. Right now this site is a waitlist. This page explains, in plain words, what we do with the details you give us when you join it.

Who we are

MaMate London is a small, independent project in London. We are responsible for your details. Questions or requests: mamate.london@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you join the list, we ask for:

your first name and email address
your postcode district (like E3), never your full address
how many kids you have and their ages, never their names
what you're looking for: sharing a home, help with kids, or both

Why we collect it

to email you about MaMate, for example when the app is ready in your area
to see how many mums sign up and where, so we know whether and where to build the app

We use your details because you chose to give them to us. You can change your mind at any time by emailing us, and we'll stop.

Who can see it

Only us. We never sell your details, share them for advertising, or pass them to other mums. Nobody else on the waitlist can see them.

We store the list with Google (Google Sheets and Gmail). Google may keep data on servers outside the UK, with legal safeguards in place. When the app launches, it will have its own privacy policy, and we'll ask before moving anything over.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while we're getting MaMate started. If we haven't been in touch for 12 months, we delete them. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or delete them. Just email mamate.london@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you switch to the dark theme, your browser remembers that choice on your own device.
